Rumors surfaced around the internet today that 2 unnamed California Senators asked for an immediate action on the proposed SOPA and PIPA bills which currently threaten our freedom of speech as we know it.

According to some sources, the unnamed Senators stated web sites such as Wikipedia.org should be labeled a terrorist organization and immediately removed from the internet because of their anarchy approach to protesting the SOPA and PIPA bills. The source also goes on to say that some of the supporting documents used by the Senators could not be reached because their source site, Wikipedia.org, was currently down.

We should support our Senators decisions to support this bill to ensure that we can have a swift and strong reaction to those ideas that the Senators, and their financial lobbyist don’t support. We need to ensure that evil tyrants such as Wikipedia.org, Slashdot.org, and Mozilla.com never see the light of day again.

It is our responsibilities as Americans to ensure that these companies that sprout up and spread evil content, such as what the definition of tyranny is, so that our kids will never be exposed to anything that isn’t pre-approved or supported by the lobbyists that support our unnamed Senators.

Support form submissions to the said unnamed Senators have yet to be answered, so we must assume that the anarchy caused by these anti-American organizations are indeed attempting to hurt our government by continuing their archaic tactics of denying Americans freedom of speech and more so, preventing Americans from reading up on the definition of “silence” on Wikipedia.org

So, today is the day that we stand up and support our Senators calls to support be able to censor those sites, whether it be online media or your own print, so that our children will be safe and have ensured that any civilized idea they may want to express doesn’t violate someone archaic copyright law, or more importantly, the financial gain of another larger lobbying corporation.

Sources also say that the unnamed Senators have not asked the sites such as donkeyporn.com be removed. They obviously have more positive values for our children than these offensive anti-sementic sites such as Wikipedia.org or Slashdot.org.

Long live freedom of speech SOPA and PIPA.

Add uncoordinated to the list of things that public schools want you to be. Besides fat and stupid, school districts in some places are now asking you to be also labeled “uncoordinated”. For safety concerns, schools have been banning things such as soccer balls, baseballs, and footballs. We already know they have banned actual teaching, controlling students, and responsibility.

It’s coming fast. This is a reminder to everyone that you have both the right and obligation to cast your vote. You can chose not to vote but remember, if you don’t vote crazy people like me will get to chose who will dictate the next policy for you.

Today a “black judge”, as quoted by the non-racist MSNBC.com, rejected a plea agreement for a white defendant basically, known as “white boy” stating that it was unfair because the same agreement usually isn’t given to African Americans.  I must say, I agree with that 100%.  There is still an unfair bias towards our African American brethren.  Honestly, someone needed to say it and Judge Joseph Williams did.  Read the rest of this entry »

Today, like most other days, I went to the place I always go to buy my ritual venti hot chocolate, or as colleagues call it, my daily chocolate crack fix.  I’m going to take my time to enjoy it today as it will probably be the last one that I drink from my run of the mill coffee shop chains after the raised the price from the already outrageous $2.95 to $3.15.  The guy behind the counter said that they raised the prices because the cost of coffee beans had increased.  Didn’t know that coffee and cocoa beans were the same.  Normally I would say that a small increase is fine, but years ago I was paying $2.30 for the same cup.  18 months ago I was paying $2.80 for the same cup.  It may have even been $2.65, I’ll have to dig up some of the old receipts.  Ironically, it’s not even that good.  It’s not bad, but working in San Francisco for 10 years I found many other places that make a much more enjoyable cup (usually for much less).  Personally I wish my income went up 20% in 18 months to cover the cost, but since it hasn’t, I’ll have to go cold turkey (thanks to a supply of chocolate bars I’ll manage).  I wonder what else I can spend my $831.60/year on?

Farewell old friend.

If you haven’t heard by now, Brandon Rhode, convicted murderer, has been transferred to a hospital after attempting to committee suicide prior to his execution. What? Why? We’re spending money to save his life so we can execute him. Don’t we have kids to educate? Wouldn’t that money be spend better on other things (like possible rehabilitation for the non-murderer inmates)? And Brandon, are you just stupid? Really! Trying to kill yourself when there is a perfectly legitimate execution coming up. Why are you wasting your time. So instead of letting him die, we strap him to a bed/chair/whatever so he can’t hurt himself again until we execute him.

Now, some lessons on logic:

  • Suicide == Death
  • Execution == Death
  • Suicide == Execution

Now, for those bureaucrats who simply don’t get it. If you want to save some revenue and put it towards your union pensions instead of risking a layoff in a down economy, let him commit suicide as it’s the same as executing him.

Yes, it’s targeted, but RNC didn’t do much better.

As a quick follow up to the burning of the Quran and the moving of the mosque, I’d like to say that it seems compromises have been made. The unofficial story is that the Quran will not be burned if the mosque is moved. It seems that both parties are giving in. I think both parties should have held their solid ground. Even though I commented that what’s the harm in doing either, leveraging the Quran to force the hand of the other party is still the same as not moving it because of possible terrorist acts. I don’t really know if there was ever a win-win situation here. In any case, someone, some group, or some religion was going to lose. Hopefully this will be the end of this fiasco.

After a long haul of socialism, the Castro family has decided that specific parts are no longer manageable. To build growth in their country they have recognized that a private business is indeed their long game for survivability. They have stated that laid off worked may receive the equivalent of unemployment for no more than 3 months. This is a shift from the hand out State that they used to be. Ironically, most of the free world reliazed this long ago. I personally applaud them for taking this leap. If there is something to learn here it is that free handouts can only be part of the short game.
